Seventeen states created EDR privacy statutes.
Yet, all this is not good enough for motorist’s assume automakers or federal regulators will provide consumer protection.
This is a false hope.
As example, a FBI, DOT & NHTSA public service announcement notes the U.S. fleet of cars and light trucks remain unsecure.
The solution is to empower the vehicle owner to control who has access to EDR data they own.
